This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles at worksites including: Language and literacy skills adequate to communicate with other workers and complete Job Safety Analysis / Permit requirements.

The Working at Heights Course has been structured to ensure all employees, working above a certain level, understand and are able to practice height safety and fall prevention procedures.

This certificate can be used across Australia to demonstrate your current knowledge and understanding of Working at Heights, and is valid for a recommended period of 30 months.

If you complete your training online, you will be able to download an Interim Certificate of Completion as soon as your assessments have been graded.When you’re ready to start your training, you can purchase your online or printed VOC Pack and enrol online.If you choose the online option, you will have immediate access to your Learners Guide and assessments.This one day course covers working safely at heights in the work place.It includes: identifying the work requirements, work procedures and instructions for the task; accessing and installing equipment; performing work at heights; and cleaning up the work area.Some subjects covered include; safety equipment use, correct fitting of a harness, care of equipment, safe assent to the work area, use of fall arrest apparatus, and correct responses and procedures if a height incident has occurred.The course contains both theory based and practical units.Numeracy skills in order to identify weights and measures associated with equipment.A level of physical ability is required to undertake the practical assessments, however, allowable adjustments can be made.Although fall arrest responses are covered, the primary focus is on fall prevention.The Working at Heights Course Sydney is targeted towards all areas of work which have a higher risk of falls occurring.
