The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the application of podcast in academic and public libraries, focusing on its purposes and characteristic features. It seeks to measure the degree of adoption of podcast in different types of libraries across the continents.
This Privacy Policy applies to all of the products, services, and websites offered by Bonnier Corporation and its subsidiaries or affiliated companies (collectively, "Bonnier").The study found that extension of implementation of podcast is high in North American libraries whereas intension of adoption of podcast is high in Australian libraries. However, the reason of disproportionate use of library podcast may be attributed to the differential internet penetration rate along the regions. There is both an infographic (with embed code) and a Pinterest image for your sharing needs as well! Also, a common question is “how many podcasts are there? We only collect personally-identifying information when you voluntarily submit it to us.Sometimes, we need personally-identifying information in order to provide you with the products and services that you request. To highlight the growth, Apple confirmed there were over 550,000 podcasts at WWDC 2018 in early June.We use cookies to make interactions with our website easy and meaningful, to better understand the use of our services, and to tailor advertising. The paper also identifies areas where podcast is being effectively used by libraries across the world. The present study was limited to North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and the survey was completely internet‐based, conducted on web sites available in English only.
