This series of war caused great discontent among the people and caused suffering in the country's economy and government.Along with these wars, there were three major parties that contributed to the cause of the revolution.They lived in tight, cramped barracks that provided no privacy. The causes of the 1905 revolution in Russia can be traced back as far as 1861. The influence of these groups, as well as internal problems and foreign policy were all causes of the revolution. The opposition of the Kadets to the sar was also a long term cause of Revolution. The defeat in this war and the expense it incurred were direct causes of the revolution which occured just a few weeks later. This massacre was the spark that started the 1905 revolution. The furious proletariat city workers and Father Gapon were forced to journey to the Winter Palace with a petition to stop the devastation.
All of these required a lot from the state, including tax dollars and manpower.
Russia suffered defeat in all, except against Turkey.
Father Gapon and many other city workers were upset with the tension that had arisen.
Various factors contributed to making the Russian people unhappy. Peasants were upset with their living conditions, wages, working hours, and how the land had been divided.
These workers were employed in the mines, factories and workshops of the major cities.
They suffered low wages, poor housing and many accidents.
The government tried to help, but war took precedence.
Second, there was a rise of the industrial working class.
